Unlocking Research Potential: Exploring the Arts, Design and Media Archive at BCU In-Person

Join us for a 90-minute in-person workshop designed to introduce researchers to the rich collections held by the Arts, Design and Media (ADM) Archive at Birmingham City University, with the opportunity to view and handle physical items. 

  • Includes a guided tour of the ADM Archive and a hands-on session with selected original artefacts
  • Gain insights into the research value and scope of the archive’s holdings
  • Learn practical strategies for accessing and using archival material in your own research
  • Opportunity to ask questions throughout and receive tailored content aligned to your research interests if shared in advance

Speaker: The workshop is led by Benedict Sayers, Cultural Collections and Archives Assistant, who has been in post since 2023 at the Art Design and Media Archive, BCU. Prior to this he was the Collections Officer at The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum in Cheltenham and was a Project Curator Beau Street Hoard project at the British Museum. He specialises in collections documentation and care and his research interest is British and Roman numismatics.
